This morning after meditation I drew an Angel card, and it was Ariel. She helps to strengthen one in times of difficulty. Then I drew one of the 72 Names of God. It was Fearlessness. Suddenly I realized I was feeling out of sorts. I realized I woke up this morning with anxiety.
As I sat in meditation the anxiousness grew, and I just could not shake it. After feeling not so great for a while I pulled myself together and entered into conversation with the anxiety. As I prayed and pondered things I asked questions. Is something going to happen. My inner sense was no. Is it a new client's anxiety that I am seeing today. There is some potential there, but I didn't think that was it. Then I realized it was transiting Mercury with the Moon and Venus in my sixth house conjunct my natal Mars.
The sixth house signifies worries! Irrational fear can come up when deeply stimulated especially when the 6th house is Scorpio for a Gemini ascendent. Combine the negative 8th house energy of Scorpio with the worrisome 6th house and bingo, you have anxiety.
Mercury has been in Scorpio for a little while and I have had a little anxiety. But, because today the moon is with Mercury, the mind and intellect are both afflicted in a dustana house. Dustana houses are the 6th, 8th, and 12th houses. Dustana in Sanskrit means duh (difficult) Sthana (place) so these houses represent difficult places, wretched states or describes someone who is wicked or faulty.
The 6th house holds the energy of worries, anxieties, obstacles, enemies, thieves, vices, challenges, test, urge for perfection, self-improvement techniques, competitive power, turning obstacles into opportunities, difference of opinion, conflicts, debts, diseases, suffering, wounds, service, daily job, imprisonment, quadrupeds, pet animals, and receiving charity, to name a few.
If you have planets in the 6th house you may be a healer, doctor or be into competitive sports. You also will have health challenges and need to incorporate special diets, make sure you exercise etc. For many years I have noticed that clients with sixth house planets have digestive issues and require special diets. Maybe they are gluten intolerant or have allergies or just bad digestion.
The Great Wayne Gretsky has a powerful 6th house. He was a highly successful hockey player, one of the greatest. But when he started a 6th house cycle, he had injuries and battled health issues too.
Once I realized what was up with me, the anxiety left. I am still having a cup of calming and magical Tulsi Rose tea. I am still diffusing peaceful essential oils, and the anxiety is gone. This is the benefit to understanding your chart. It gives you the tools to understand the cosmic weather, stop taking everything personally and you can tell how long something may last. Then the best thing is knowing what remedies to apply.
The key to astrology is using it in your daily experience to master the energies. My anxiety is just a weather system moving through today.

Yoga offers more than physical exercise. It connects the body, mind, and spirit. It is a science for living that addresses each area of life. Jyotish (Vedic astrology) is a one of the branches of yoga philosophy known as the "eyes of the Vedas". Astrology oriented yoga classes tailor poses and breathing techniques to current astrology, helping you align with natural rhythms. This approach supports deeper self-awareness and balance.

How Astrology Enhances Yoga Practice
Astrology studies the influence of celestial bodies on human life. Each zodiac sign has unique traits, strengths, and challenges. By understanding these, yoga can be customized to meet your specific needs in private or group sessions.
Personalized Poses: Certain poses benefit different signs. For example, fire signs like Aries and Leo may focus on calming, grounding postures to balance their energy. Earth signs like Taurus and Virgo might practice more dynamic flows to stimulate movement.
Breathing Techniques: Pranayama exercises can be chosen to support emotional and mental states linked to your sign.
Timing and Cycles: Astrology helps identify the best times for practice, such as moon phases or planetary transits, enhancing the effectiveness of yoga sessions.
This personalized approach encourages harmony between your physical body and inner self.
