There’s a moment in every spiritual life when you stop whispering and start speaking plainly.

This is mine.

For years, I’ve taught or consulted with Jyotish — Vedic astrology — as a symbolic language, a karmic language, a way of understanding the architecture of a human life. But I’ve always been careful, measured, almost shy about the part that matters most:

Every jiva — every soul — leaves a trail across lifetimes. Jyotish is one of the few systems that can read it.

When I finally sat down and traced my own karmic arc, the story that emerged was so coherent, so emotionally precise, that I wanted to share it as a testament to the brilliance of this system.

LIFETIME 1 — THE ARCHITECT OF THE GOD-KINGS

My chart begins with Ketu and Sun in Chitra, the nakshatra of sacred geometry. This is the signature of a temple-builder, a ritual engineer, someone who understood the cosmos through measurement.

Purpose: To encode cosmic order into physical space so future civilizations could “remember” the divine pattern.

Karmic residue: A lifelong sense of “I must build a new world” in this incarnation.

• Devoted to cosmic order

LIFETIME 2 — THE LISTENER OF EMPIRES

~500 BCE – 200 CE — Magadha / Nalanda India

My Shravana Moon is the monk’s moon — the archivist, the listener, the preserver of teachings.

This lifetime was quieter. A monastery. Scrolls. Oral transmission. A devotion to accuracy.

Mission: Preserve oral tradition during political upheaval

This is a signature of a monk, archivist, or scholar who lived through:

• the rise of Magadha

• the Mauryan consolidation

• the early Buddhist scholastic period

This jiva likely served as:

• a scribe

• a commentator

• a reciter of sacred texts

• a preserver of oral lineages during war

Purpose: To carry forward teachings that would otherwise be lost.

• “getting the teaching right” comes directly from this lifetime.

This was a lifetime of movement — caravans, borderlands, danger. A lifetime of responding to emergencies with clarity and speed.

Mission: Emergency medicine, crisis intervention, travel-healing

This is a classic signature of:

• battlefield healers

• caravan physicians

• herbalists

• emergency responders

• midwives

• poison-curers

This jiva incarnated in a period of:

• tribal conflict

• nomadic movement

• trade-route danger

• epidemics

Purpose: To intervene in moments of acute suffering and restore life-force.

My Magha Jupiter and Venus — royal nakshatra planets — tell the story of a court advisor, an astrologer, a counselor to kings during political collapse.

This was a lifetime of power, responsibility, and emotional isolation.

Mission: Counsel rulers during collapse

• interpreters of omens during political decline

LIFETIME 5 — THE SILENT WANDERER

~1800–1900 CE — Himalayas / Nepal / Tibet borderlands

My D9 Moon in the 12th house is the signature of a renunciate.

This was the hermit lifetime — caves, mountains, silence. A vow-bound existence. A karmic purification.

Mission: Withdrawal, purification, karmic reset

D9 Moon in the 12th house + D9 Saturn retrograde in Libra (exalted) This is a renunciate signature.

This jiva likely lived as:

• a solitary pilgrim

• a hermit

• a mountain wanderer

• a mantra practitioner

• a vow-bound ascetic

Purpose: To burn off karmic residue from previous lifetimes of public responsibility.

• solitude

• silence

• retreat

• pilgrimage comes directly from this incarnation.

20th–21st century — Western birth, Indian karmic inheritance

And now we arrive here. As I prepare for my second return to India to touch the ground that stabilizes me and helps me remember who I am. I return to ignite the last third of this lifetimes mission.

Punarvasu Lagna — the “return home” ascendant. The rebuilder. The restorer. The one who gathers the threads of all previous incarnations and weaves them into something new.

Mission: Reassemble the broken lineage threads
