Tuesday the 21st of October is the New Moon in Chitra Nakshatra which makes Mars very strong. Tuesday is ruled by Mars as is Chitra Nakshatra. Remember a nakshatra is a lunar mansion.
Mars is the karaka or indicator for courage, strength, siblings, and action. It has a fiery, assertive nature. For this new lunation cycle planting seeds for your success in the house that this conjunction of the Sun and Moon is taking place in is how you can take the best advantage. If you don't know your Sidereal birth chart placement, well it is definitely time for an astrology reading! Learning to co-create with nature through the astrological cycle is part of yoga as a life system.
Speaking of which! My Astro-Yoga program is re-launching! I am doing a little happy dance inside. There will be two Yoga classes a week and the well-loved Spiritual Tools class is returning. I have had different feedback on which night of the week we will be unwinding together. I am leaning toward Tuesday nights at 6pm. Keep your feedback coming. Saturday morning Restorative Yoga will be at 9:30am EST. Then the Spiritual Tools class will be Sunday afternoons at 3pm EST.
Here is what you will need for yoga:
A long foam roller
Small balls
I also recommend double matts for soft cushioning of the knees and a knee pad. I love this one
A blanket and an eye pillow.
We will be doing a lot of meditations with gemstones and essential oils for deep chakra and energy body work.
I will have limited space available locally. Weekly RSVP will be required to secure a space. I will supply the gemstones and essential oils for those in house.
If you are attending online via zoom, start getting your space ready with all of the above. Having a sacred space to practice in your home is highly recommended. Keep your essential oils and gemstones handy to learn how and when to apply them. What you want is a variety of colors. There are lots of chakra collections available. Or just go to a shop and pick up what speaks to you. I highly recommend a lot of rose quartz for healing and love. You will also want clear quartz crystal.
We will be doing crystal rituals, moon rituals, sound healing, angelic meditations and learning about herbs and foods that support every cycle.
I will be referencing each participants astrology chart and how the cycle effects them particularly in classes and we will tailor our poses, breathe work and meditations to lunation cycles, participant's cycles and current transits of planets through signs.
In our Spiritual Tools class, we will be launching with the basics of energy healing and why yoga, crystals, reiki, attunements and sound can heal. This will be an Energy Healing 101 class.

I am excited to be in my own space with my huge bag of tricks nearby to lay gemstones on chakras or supply essential oils or smudging as necessary. This will be a new holistic program in a dedicated sacred space.
I thought we would launch November 1st but I need a little more time to get things in order. Stay tuned for the start date.
To give you a little headstart here is a ritual for tomorrow's New Moon. Pick a gemstone of a color that is intuitively calling you. Look up its properties or the color's properties. Align it to an energy center in your body, one of the chakras or meridian points. Write down an intention for that chakra. Lay the crystal on it, speak your intention, then place the crystal on the paper and leave it on an alter or in a dedicated space until the full moon. On the full moon journal about what energy has been generated by this process. What has come up, cleared or become illuminated for you? Have there been dreams or real time events that correspond to your goal or issue?
