“People” Represented in the Birth Chart
In Vedic astrology, each house represents specific people in your life. Here’s a clean, quick reference:
House | People Represented |
1st | You, your body, your identity |
2nd | Family, lineage, speech, close relatives |
3rd | Siblings (especially younger), coworkers, neighbors |
4th | Mother, caretakers, homeland |
5th | Children, students, romantic interests |
6th | Enemies, competitors, employees |
7th | Spouse, partners, clients |
8th | In-laws, joint resources, occult teachers |
9th | Father, gurus, mentors |
10th | Authority figures, bosses |
11th | Friends, networks, older siblings |
12th | Foreigners, spiritual guides, people in retreat or isolation |
“People” as Planets
Sun → father, authority figures
Moon → mother, caretakers
Mars → brothers, soldiers, protectors
Mercury → friends, students, messengers
Jupiter → teachers, gurus, advisors
Venus → spouse, lovers, artists
Saturn → servants, workers, the elderly
Rahu → foreigners, outsiders
Ketu → ascetics, mystics
When studying your current path, we look at these indicators. Who is helping you? Who creates blockages? Where is the energy flowing or obstructed.
Each house also represents areas of life.
